Dr Bilkis has Alleged that former Hurriyat leader Shabir Shah has Not been provided with proper treatment because he wants Azaadi or Self Determination. Yesterday was Shabir Shah's case hearing at Patiala house family court after a gap of one and half month. As usual no witness appeared in the court and so case was once again listed for another date i.e 16th march 2018. As per the Lawyer MS Khan two witnesses were supposed to be present for Aslam wani who were Ex Assistant and Deputy officer from ED.

The lawyer said even the chief examination of the witnesses is pending till date not to talk of cross examination. Today as there was some fault in the video camera so Shabir Shah was brought to the court where Shah told to judge Mr Sidharath Sharma that he may be provided medical relief as he is suffering from multiple life risking ailments. Shah alleged that whenever he is being taken to any hospital for checkup, the health authorities tell him sarcastic questions that you are the person who wants azadi, You want freedom from India etc etc. The family members of Shah has warned the Govt of India Govt of J&k and the Jail authorities that if any mishap happens to Shabir Shah the responsibility will be directly of theres. Instead of treating him, the doctors are passing objectionable remarks against him which is totally against medical ethics.

There is absolutely no progress in the case since the chargesheet was filed some 5months back on 23.09.2017. Since than only dates after dates are being fixed just because the witnesses shown by ED in the charge sheet are never present in the court there by prolonging the illegal detention of Shabir Shah. Till date the wife of Shah has been continuously filing applications in the patiala court regarding multiple life risking ailments Shah is suffering for which he is not being provided any exact treatment till date. As the medicines which Shah has been prescribed by the super specialists of Fortis Delhi and SKIMS Soura Srinagar are not available in the Tihar jail hospital dispensary.(KNO)
